Shoppers become ‘golden shoppers’ when they have a baby as their spend increases by 26% after having their first child and an additional 14% with every child that follows. A large portion of the increased spending from new parents goes towards nappies and wipes. New mums on average visit their GP 16 times in the first year of their child’s life, where they often receive a prescription.  As a consequence, they are making frequent visits to the pharmacy, becoming a prime target for your retail space.
